- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking pan.
- Mix the melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar in a large bowl. Add the eggs and vanilla extract. Stir in the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt until smooth.
- Pour the brownie batter into the prepared pan and smooth it into an even layer.
- In another bowl, prepare the cookie dough by mixing the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar. Add the egg and vanilla extract, then stir in the flour and chocolate chips.
- Drop spoonfuls of cookie dough on top of the brownie layer, spreading it evenly.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, checking for doneness by inserting a toothpick into the center. Let cool before slicing.
Notes
For a fun twist, add a pinch of sea salt on top before baking for an enhanced flavor contrast.
